Anchorage shortlisted for refurbishment of the year award!

We are delighted to announce that Anchorage has been shortlisted at the prestigious Insider North West Property Awards for Commercial Refurbishment of the Year.

Phase one of the £8m refurbishment of the ground floor of Anchorage 2 was competed in April 2019 and it is this phase which has been recognised as a potential award-win contender.

For those who were not familiar with Anchorage before the works took place, the look and feel of the building has now been completely transformed.

Many of our occupants have been enjoying the new ground floor area, which has been entirely reconfigured and is now a stylish work and leisure space, fit for the modern occupier. For those who haven’t seen it yet, the space has a contemporary new design which includes pod-style breakout and informal workspaces.

Before COVID-19 lockdown measures hit, the atrium was bustling with life, following lettings to CH&Co and Simply Fresh which have opened The Quays café and upmarket grocery store, Anchorage Convenience, respectively.

As part of this first phase of renovation, many of the floors were comprehensively refurbished too and all are now let following the completion of the works with new tenants including QA Consulting, Apadmi and Bibby Financial totaling 37,000sq.ft which will further enhance the new Anchorage office complex and add great vibrancy and diversity to the tenant mix.

The Insider North West Property Awards evening, which normally takes place in May, will this year be hosted on Friday 2nd October and we can’t wait to celebrate, whether it’s just for being shortlisted or (fingers crossed) for winning.

Leading developer and asset manager, Canmoor, was appointed to implement and oversee the extensive £8million refurbishment programme across the 220,000 sq ft, four-building office complex.
